Why You Need a Real Estate Buyer’s Broker

Purchasing Maui real estate is a major transaction, and all details need to be handled expeditiously — time is of the essence! In the majority of cases, the seller will be represented by his own “listing” agent. If you attend an Open House or call the number on a “for sale” sign, you will be talking to a broker who owes full allegiance to the seller.

As a Maui Buyer’s Broker, I represent the consumer who is purchasing the property. In this capacity, I owe full fiduciary responsibilities, involving extraordinary duty and loyalty, to the Maui real estate Buyer client only. I work for the Buyer client, keeping the Maui real estate Buyer’s best interests in mind throughout the entire transaction right through to a successful closing — and beyond, as well, whenever necessary.

What does it cost?

In most cases, it costs nothing more to have me representing your interests as your personal Maui real estate Buyer’s Broker. If the property is listed in the Maui MLS, the seller has already agreed in writing to pay a commission to the broker who represents him; as the Buyer’s Broker, I share that commission with the seller’s Broker. In this scenario, your additional cost is zero! This generally holds true as well with properties For Sale By Owner (FSBO), where the seller agrees to pay a commission to the Buyer’s Broker.
